No call centre, no middle-man, no department to pass the blame to. Since 1997, the person who designs your interior has been the one who cuts it, sews it and hands it back.

Two generations
One workshop
CU Design began in 1997 with a simple idea: that an interior built properly, in real materials, by people who care how it wears, is worth more than one churned out to hit a price. Nearly thirty years and two generations later, we still believe it.
We’ve grown — added our own foam-cutting and CNC machines, taken on trade work, become the sole UK importer of Glide Tape & Track — but we’ve stayed deliberately small where it counts. The bench is still where the decisions get made.
We’ve turned down work that didn’t interest us, and lost sleep over work that did. That’s not a slogan; it’s just how a workshop runs when the same people answer the phone and pick up the shears.
Not until it’s due. A deadline matters, but it doesn’t get to decide when something’s finished.
The underside of a cushion, the inside of a seam. If it’s hidden, that’s exactly where standards slip — so that’s where we look first.
If a re-trim isn’t worth it, we’ll say so. If your idea won’t work, we’ll tell you why, and suggest one that will.
Trends date. A well-built interior in good materials doesn’t — it just gets better with use.
